The candy-colored, R-rated new entry in the DC Extended Universe, Birds of Prey, subverts a lot of expectations for the genre, but it does honor a classic superhero movie tradition: Having an irresistible soundtrack. “Music was super important,” says director Cathy Yan. “It motivates me, and it kind of helps me create the characters.” She and the production team worked closely with Atlantic Records to assemble a “sort of musical girl gang,” she says, and create an all-female soundtrack for this women-powered world.

It's not unusual for Michelle Williams to have a connection to a Sundance film. But the Oscar-nominated actress has a unique tie to the 2022 Special Jury Award winner for Uncompromising Artistic Vision, Blood. Directed by Bradley Rust Gray, the film follows a young woman, Chloe (Carla Juri), who travels to Japan after the death of her husband. There, she finds solace in an old friend, Toshi (Takashi Ueno), but as that comfort turns to affection, she grapples with giving herself permission to fall in love again.

Netflix's The Ranch returned with Part 6 on Friday, marking the second half of season 3. And, yes, the show found a way to address the absence of Danny Masterson's Rooster. Masterson was fired by Netflix and written off the show amid multiple allegations of sexual assault, which the actor denied. In the finale of Part 5, Rooster's character gathered his things and bounced after Nick, Mary's ex, threatened him at gunpoint.

Jeff Ament may be best known for performing on stage — but now, the Pearl Jam bassist is bringing his music to the screen. Ament composed the music for Andrew Garfield's chilling true crime series Under the Banner Heaven, his first time writing an original score for film or TV. Like the show, Ament's soundtrack can be both moving and unsettling, mixing atmospheric piano and heavy guitar for a haunting sound.

For years, parents on teen television shows were predominantly used to service the teenage stories. They would show up from time to time, offer a bit of advice or a bit of disciplinary action, and continue their adult lives mostly off-screen. But in the early 2000s, that started to change. The O.C. put Sandy (Peter Gallagher) and Kirsten Cohen (Kelly Rowan) — not to mention the Coopers — front and center, giving them their own stories that audiences watched alongside whatever Seth (Adam Brody) and Ryan (Ben McKenzie) were up to.

Last week, 90210 actress Jessica Lowndes was on a mission. She was set to release a new music video for her song “Deja Vu (Remix),” but not before launching arguably the most puzzling prank on the Internet so far this year. With a few Instagram posts, Snapchat videos, and tweets, Lowndes told the world she was engaged to Saturday Night Live alum Jon Lovitz. “I came up with the idea for [the fake relationship] last week,” Lowndes tells EW.

"Just like old times," says the Asgardian, referencing a bit from 2012's Avengers movie.

In one horrific scene, 300 naked actresses in shorn wigs crowded into an Auschwitz shower and were told to stare up at the menacing nozzles.

It's been 45 years since The Brady Bunch aired its final episode, and the six actors — who were just children when the popular series debuted in 1969 — have reunited with a very special mission: to renovate the inside of the Los Angeles home whose facade was used to represent the Brady home on TV. HGTV bought the residence in 2018 and later announced they'd be gutting it and renovating it for a new series, A Very Brady Renovation, with a little help from Maureen McCormick, Barry Williams, Eve Plumb, Christopher Knight, Susan Olsen, and Mike Lookinland.
