Every Child's Play film, ranked

Don Mancini was barely out of his teens, and still enrolled at UCLA, when he conceived Child's Play, the classic 1988 film that introduced audiences across the globe to the foul-mouthed slasher Charles Lee Ray (Brad Dourif), who within the opening minutes would perform a voodoo spell to place his soul inside the plastic bodice of a Good Guys doll that would come to be called Chucky. Two years before Child's Play hit theaters in November 1988, children's media was at its saturation point with high-energy cartoons produced to entice their audience into purchasing the toys upon which the properties were based.

Every song on the 'Garden State' soundtrack, ranked

Zach Braff's Garden State (2004) was—and continues to be—known as much for its soundtrack as for, well, everything else. The 13-song mix introduced The Shins and Frou Frou to a wider audience and gave well-established bands like Simon & Garfunkel and Coldplay a new home. And it gave thousands of Garden State fans something to pop into their CD player and keep there for days (or, you know, months) on end.

EW chats with Mickey Rourke about ''Sin City''

When a movie is called Sin City, how can Mickey Rourke not be in it? As famous for tabloid-fodder antics as his Method-y scuzzball turns in movies such as 9 1/2 Weeks and Angel Heart, Rourke has his biggest role in more than a decade in Robert Rodriguez’s hyper-pulp noir flick, adapted from Frank Miller’s comics. He makes the most of it: Rourke’s soul-scarred killer hero, Marv, is a surprisingly romantic and even funny terror.
