And while talking with ESPN’s Colin Cowherd on Thursday, the comedian revealed why: College kids today are too politically correct. “I hear that all the time,” Seinfeld said on The Herd with Colin Cowherd. “I don’t play colleges, but I hear a lot of people tell me, ‘Don’t go near colleges. Jack Carter, a pioneering comic, died of respiratory failure in his Beverly Hills, Calif. home on Sunday, according to the Associated Press. He was 93 years old. He first popped in the mainstream after appearing on Texaco Star Theatre, Milton Berle’s variety show. Carter then hosted The Jackie Gleason Show precursor Cavalcade of Stars for a year before landing his own program: The Jack Carter Show. He regularly appeared on The Hollywood Squares and The Ed Sullivan Show later in his career.
Comedian Jackie Mason has died at 93. Lawyer Raoul Felder, a friend of the Rabbi-turned-funnyman, confirmed the news to The New York Times. Mason died at an undisclosed hospital on Saturday. Mason was well known as a "Borscht Belt" comic, due to his early performances in the Catskills (think The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel). The comedian's career took him around the world, and he even performed in front of Queen Elizabeth II in 1989 and 1991.
Jeff Dye, comedian and host of Who the BLEEP Is That? on Fox, was arrested and charged with a DUI on Sunday, according to PEOPLE.
