newsA version of this article originally appeared in Entertainment Weekly's Awardist Emmys Kickoff special print issue. It begins with the oddest meet cute ever. Single gal Ashley (Harriet Dyer) flashes single guy Gordon (Patrick Brammall) while crossing in front of his car, causing him to run over a dog, which they rush to the vet. And thus the tone is set for one of the funniest romcoms in years, Colin From Accounts.
A familiar face and a familiar voice are joining Community. Paget Brewster and Keith David have signed on to the community college comedy, EW has confirmed. The two are expected to appear in all of season 6, which will debut on Yahoo! Screen early next year. Brewster—whose TV credits include Criminal Minds and Friends, and who popped up on Key & Peele last week—has appeared on Community before, guest-starring as a member of the IT staff in last season’s episode “Analysis of Cork-Based Networking.
There have been many shocking moments so far on Survivor this season. People are either getting naked or wearing “manties” and feathers. People are watching howler monkeys have sex and then giving a detailed play-by-play analysis after. People are telling lies (“neutral”) that simply make no sense. But those all pale in comparison to the shock of what unfolded tonight. First of all, there is some woman on the Blue Collar tribe I have never seen before.
Warning: This article contains spoilers for Cruel Summer season 2, episode 5, "All I Want For Christmas." One of Isabella's (Lexi Underwood) many lies has finally been exposed on Cruel Summer. But does that mean she's guilty of Luke's (Griffin Gluck) murder too? Episode 5 ends on the shocking revelation that Isabella's best friend Lisa, whom she talks about often, has actually been dead this whole time. After hearing about Luke's death, Lisa's brother Trevor (Olly Sholotan) sends Megan (Sadie Stanley) a newspaper article detailing the truth about her death, revealing that she drowned in St.
C’mon, admit it, you missed that constantly bothered, constantly blamed man we love to watch flounder at the mercy of society. Larry David is back, and unlike Cheryl David’s low tolerance, I personally can never get “too much Larry.” With most of the colorful players that make up Larry’s easily offended world in tow (and then some), and Larry just being…Larry, the first episode of the seventh season did not disappoint.
Former Dancing With the Stars pro Cheryl Burke may be done with chassés, but she's far from done with chitchat. Burke, who was the first pro on the ABC competition series to win in consecutive years, has launched a podcast that will dive deep into what fans don't see on TV. Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans "is a chance for not just me and the celebrity contestant to get together, but for the fans to really get a different outlook on what this show really entails,"
Slip into some cowboy boots and grab yer partner because it’s ‘Country Night’ on Dancing With the Stars! This celebration of the music genre means lots of live performances from big country artists (it probably doesn’t hurt to have Bobby Bones as a contestant), and our first team dances of the season, all making the evening feel like a big party. But every party has a pooper, and that’s why DWTS invited a double elimination.
The producers behind Desperately Seeking Susan were, ahem, desperately seeking to get the film out the door in case their Susan ended up being a one-hit wonder. The film, which featured Madonna in the title role and marked her first major on screen appearance, came out in March 1985. Filming finished the previous November, right as the pop legend's Like a Virgin was released. According to the dramedy's producer, Sarah Pillsbury, Desperately Seeking Susan was originally supposed to hit theaters in October of 1985, but was pushed up to March for two reasons.
The Devil in the White City has hit another snag. Just days after it was announced that star Keanu Reeves was leaving the Hulu and Paramount TV series, director and executive producer Todd Field has also departed, EW can confirm. A reason has not been given for the departure of either from the project. Field is currently hard at work promoting his latest film, Tár, which is receiving major awards buzz, especially for leading lady Cate Blanchett.
How perfect was Taraji P. Henson for the scene-stealing role of Cookie Lyon? She was cast mere seconds into her Empire audition. That’s what Empire executive producer Danny Strong told an audience of fans at the ATX Festival in Austin, Texas, on Saturday, explaining how the Person of Interest actress came in to do a “chemistry test” with series star Terrence Howard in front of Strong and executive producer Lee Daniels.
