Adam Pally boards 'Dirty Grandpa' with Zac Efron

Zac Efron has signed on to Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, a film about two brothers who create an online ad to find dates for a wedding only for the ad to go viral. Chernin Entertainment and Fox are looking to fill the role of Efron’s brother for the film, which they hope will be similar to the Sandra Bullock–Melissa McCarthy team-up, The Heat. [Variety] Adam Pally (The Mindy Project) will be joining Robert De Niro and Zac Efron for Dirty Grandpa.

Adam Sandler chooses movies based on where he wants to vacation

Shocking news: Adam Sandler made Blended, his latest comedy costarring Drew Barrymore, not for the art of it, and not for the money — but to go on vacation. Really. On Jimmy Kimmel Live Thursday night, Sandler confessed that since starring in 2004's 50 First Dates, he's made a point of doing movies that will take him to faraway places. "[50 First Dates] was written in another place, and then I said, 'Imagine if we did it in Hawaii, how great that movie would be.

Adam Sandler makes hosting debut

Adam Sandler returned to the hallowed stage at NBC’s Studio 8H to make his hosting debut on Saturday Night Live, 24 years after he left the show as a cast member. Sandler, who has since become one of SNL‘s most successful alumni, was part of the “Bad Boys of SNL” group alongside the likes of Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, Tim Meadows, David Spade, and of course, his frequent sketch collaborator, the late Chris Farley.

Adam Sandler Netflix movies: A live-blog

Does Adam Sandler care about the quality of his movies? Is it better if he doesn’t care — if it’s just a job? He has made so many movies, and so many are bad, but quality doesn’t have to matter. Walk a mile in this man’s shoes. He cares about his family. They’re in his movies, and half his projects look like they were paid family vacations (two films shot in Hawaii, that long sequence in Jack and Jill product-placing the largest cruise ship in the entire world).

Adam Sandler says Roseanne Barr almost sang 'Chanukah Song' on 'SNL'

Adam Sandler is the undisputed king of Hanukkah in American pop culture, thanks largely to his unforgettable "Chanukah Song" from Saturday Night Live. But the Uncut Gems star has revealed that he almost didn’t get to sing the classic composition himself. In an interview with Access Hollywood, Sandler explained that "Chanukah Song" was almost performed by Roseanne Barr, who hosted SNL the week that he wrote the song in 1994. “They were talking about Roseanne singing it, and she was nice enough to say ‘no, let Adam do that, that’s his, he wrote it, that’s his song,’” Sandler recalled.

Adam Sandler SNL Weekend Update songs

Pinpointing the precise moment that a future comedy superstar finds their footing as a cast member on Saturday Night Live has the air of a superhero's humble origin story. There is something very pure about it, an unknown — through some combination of osmosis and charisma — capturing an audience's attention and hurdling themselves against the larger tapestry of comedy and American pop culture. Similar to Eddie Murphy's out-of-the-box discovery as a teen and catapult into stardom, Adam Sandler exploded at Studio 8H in an unexpected and refreshing way.

Adam Sandler to star in four movies exclusively for Netflix

Netflix is quickly changing the landscape of the studio system. The streaming site announced Thursday that it has closed a deal with Adam Sandler and his production company, Happy Madison. Four new movies starring Sandler will premiere exclusively in 50 Netflix territories. Notably, there will be no studio middleman facilitating the deal, and the films will bypass a theatrical run. “When these fine people came to me with an offer to make four movies for them, I immediately said yes for one reason and one reason only….

Adventure Time creator's Netflix show gets teaser trailer

What time is it? Well, not Adventure Time. But it is time to unveil the next animated show from Adventure Time creator Pendleton Ward. Netflix unveiled the first teaser trailer for The Midnight Gospel, which hails from Ward and Duncan Trussell of the Duncan Trussell Family Hour podcast. It looks weird, whacky, and totally psychedelic. Check, check, and check. The official log line sounds just as mind-bendy as the footage: Clancy is "
