'Survivor' host Jeff Probst explains that insane 'Top Gun' montage

The men of Survivor 45 stepped into the proverbial danger zone on this week’s episode of the reality TV series, and they didn’t even know it. While Survivor has previously separated players by gender on seasons like The Amazon, Vanuatu, and One World, there was an cast-instituted division this week when, in a magic trick worthy of merlin himself, Emily Flippen won a reward challenge and selected the three other female players in the game to join her so they could eat food (turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, apple pie, and perhaps even a slider), sip wine, and cry over letters from home on a big ladies night out at the Sanctuary… which granted, is not exactly Hollywood, but close enough.

'Survivor' host Jeff Probst reveals if theme seasons are truly dead

One of the biggest changes in the new era of Survivor is right there in the title. After Survivor: Winners at War(season 40), the franchise began simply naming its seasons by their numbers. Hence, the 46th season of the show premiering Feb. 28 on CBS is titled Survivor 46. But with the move to number-titled seasons, something has been lost, and that something is themes. Even when Survivor was still moving around the globe from location to location, the show was spitting out theme seasons.

'Survivor' winner withdraws bill legalizing sex between first cousins

Survivor winner and Kentucky state representative Nick Wilson is speaking out after sparking heavy criticism for filing a state bill that would have legalized sex between first cousins on Tuesday.  The lawmaker clarified the situation in a Facebook post on Wednesday, calling it a “mistake” that occurred during the creation of the bill. The Kentucky General Assembly’s website shows that he withdrew the bill the same day.  “During the drafting process, there was an inadvertent change, which struck ‘first cousins’ from the list of relationships included under the incest statute, and I failed to add it back in,” Wilson wrote.

'The 5th Wave': EW review

Post-apocalypse films can be divided into two categories. There are those that feature characters who don’t seem to have seen the inside of a shower in years, like 2009’s resolutely grim The Road. And then there are those whose cast members look like they’ve visited a hair salon as recently as that morning. The latter category is the one into which this adaptation of author Rick Yancey’s trilogy-inaugurating 2013 YA novel very much falls.

'The Art of Being a Cougar'

I know I took a little hiatus last week from recapping RHONY but most of that time away was spent trying to figure out how to pronounce everyone’s favorite new housewives bar, Beautique. Now, Bethenny pronounces it Bowtique. Sonja’s more like Bewtique. I think I may side with Sonja, surprisingly enough. Man, between Bethenny claiming she’s homeless and her pronunciation of Beautique, I’m really struggling with her so far this season.

'The Bronze' bombs at the box office with only $361 per theater

It’s only March, but we can officially crown The Bronze as not only the biggest box office flop of 2016 but one of the biggest bombs of all time. The Melissa Rauch-starring comedy opened in 1,167 theaters this weekend to an estimated $421,434. That’s a per-location average of only $361. As a result, The Bronze now stands as the fifth-biggest flop to open in more than 1,000 theaters. The record for the all-time worst opening in 1,000+ locations still belongs to the 2009 vampire spoof movie Transylmania, which earned $263,941 in 1,007 theaters.

'The Circle' season 6 winner breaks down finale ending, last blocking

Warning: This article contains spoilers for the The Circle season 6 finale. Brandon Baker doesn't understand how he won The Circle season 6. After playing all season based on pure emotions and kindness while catfishing as "Olivia," he thought he was for sure going to end up in third place at best — especially since he didn't decide his final ratings using any kind of strategy. "I put QT at No.

'The D Train' co-directors share secrets on THAT Jack Black, James Marsden scene

Since January when The D Train premiered and was quickly snapped up for theatrical distribution as one of the buzzier titles at the Sundance Film Festival, the scene has been the indie dramedy’s primary talking point: a romantic hook-up between Jack Black’s bumbling suburbanite character and James Marsden’s Hollywood hunk. In The D Train (which arrives in theaters Friday) Black portrays Dan Landsman, a straight-laced small-town dad organizing his high school’s 20th anniversary.

'The Gilded Age' couple Carrie Coon, Morgan Spector in horror short

It’s not all sunshine and railroads between Carrie Coon and Morgan Spector — sometimes there’s also scalding hot butter. In The Gilded Age, the duo dazzle as new money titans Bertha and George Russell. But fans have come to realize that their 19th century scheming isn’t the first time these actors have crossed paths. A clip of the two starring in what looks to be a vintage commercial has been circulating on social media and even earned a response from Coon herself.
