'Magic Mike''s men at work

Channing Tatum digs in to a meal of pizza, steak salad, and spaghetti at a restaurant in New York’s West Village. ”This is the post-photo-shoot diet,” he says with a smile. (His drink of choice: a plastic cup of Jack Daniel’s that he brought from the shoot across the street.) The feast is a mini-reunion for Tatum and his Magic Mike costars Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer, and Joe Manganiello, who settle into backslapping like old pals.

'Marley & Me' top dog at weekend box office

Hollywood got just what it wanted this holiday weekend: A puppy. Marley & Me, the tale of a couple’s life with each other and their provocative pooch, easily won a robust holiday weekend at the box office, adding an estimated $37 million this weekend to the record $14.7 it fetched on Christmas day ($51.7 million for the four days). It’s a big win for man’s best friend — not to mention Friend, with Jennifer Aniston front and center in the movie’s promotional effort.

'Mayans M.C.'recap: Season 1, Episode 1

Four years after Sons of Anarchy rode off into the sunset, series creator Kurt Sutter is returning to the world of motorcycle gangs with the highly anticipated spin-off Mayans MC. This time, we're moving south from the fictional town of Charming to the U.S.-Mexico border, where the Mayans rule the roads. Our new hero is Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes (played by JD Pardo), who, unlike his protagonist predecessor Jax Teller, does not come from gang royalty.

Young adult author James Dashner will write a new prequel to his bestselling post-apocalyptic trilogy, The Maze Runner, after 20th Century Fox’s film adaptation of the first novel topped the box office with a $32.5 million opening weekend. Pre-production on the movie adaptation of the second book in the dystopian series, The Scorch Trials, has already begun, and the film is set for release in Sept.

'Mexican Gothic' author Silvia Moreno-Garcia on what fans can expect from Hulu's series

Fans of Silvia Moreno-Garcia's hit novel Mexican Gothic shouldn't expect a sequel, but there's no telling how the world of its protagonist Noemi Taboada will expand when it's adapted as a limited series on Hulu. The New York Times best-selling book tells the story of anthropology student and socialite Noemi, 22, who leaves the comforts of home in Mexico City in the 1950s to care for her ailing cousin, Catalina, in the remote mountain town of El Triunfo.

'Migration' embraced Big Duck Energy, 'Little Miss Sunshine'

Director Benjamin Renner had a very specific rule whenever it came to making his latest animated feature, Migration: No fart jokes. It's something the animator and Oscar-nominated Ernest et Célestine filmmaker applies to his work in general. “I know that's the easy way for kids. You put [in] a fart, they will laugh. It happens, but I have this rule that I don't do that," Renner tells EW. "I try to do gags that will be enjoyable for the whole family, for everyone.

'Nip/Tuck' exclusive: The real story behind last night's big twist

In the final minutes of last night’s Nip/Tuck, Kimber took a suicidal dive into the ocean, leaving her fate uncertain. Will she be picked up by a fishing boat? Wake up and ask for a margarita? Or is our favorite dysfunctional bombshell really a goner? SPOILER ALERT: She’s dead. The first step in the grieving process is denial. The second is reading a Q&A with the dearly departed character’s portrayer — in this case, Kelly Carlson.

'Oogieloves': What you (probably) missed

Let me be upfront: I haven’t seen The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure yet. Of course, you probably haven’t either, as it just had the worst opening weekend in box office history. But I sort of want to. Somehow, the film earning that dubious distinction has unleashed an alarming obsession within me for all things Oogieloves in the last 24 hours. I mean, have you SEEN Oogieloves.com?! The sheer WTF factor of this strange, strange franchise is utterly intoxicating.

'Outer Banks' cast and character guide

Have you been watching Outer Banks? If the answer is "no," we hate to tell you this, but you've been missing out on one of the hottest shows on Netflix. Fortunately, it's not too late for you to start binge-watching and catch up ahead of season 4, which arrives sometime in 2024. But whether you don't know your Kooks (those who come from money) from your Pogues (those who live in the Cut/come from working-class families) or you've watched every season since the series first dropped in 2020, you might need a little assistance getting up to speed.

'Outlander' composer Bear McCreary wept writing Frank's death scene music

Droughtlander can have a soundtrack now! On Friday, Sony Music is releasing all the original music from Outlander season 3 to help fill the void until Claire and Jamie return to our lives. In anticipation of the album’s release, we talked to the drama’s Emmy-winning composer Bear McCreary about the season’s most challenging compositions (think drums, lots of them) and how sad it was to create the music for Frank’s death.
