There’s Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” There’s Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas.” Well, this December, prepare to add John Mayer’s ode to CVS shopping to your classic holiday musical rotation. The singer posted a video Monday of himself performing the song “CVS Bag” on his Instagram show, Current Mood. He dedicated the tune to everyone’s favorite store for buying random knickknacks and last-minute holiday gifts. “I wrote this song myself, and it’s about something we all encounter in the holidays,” Mayer says in the video, adding that the track is about staying at his family’s house in a small town with limited shopping options.

Is Johnny Depp himself responsible for his star fading in Hollywood, or was his reputation squandered by a scorned starlet ex-wife? This is one of the central questions at the heart of Depp's $50 million lawsuit against Amber Heard, who he says defamed him in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed she wrote chronicling her experiences as a domestic violence survivor. While Heard never mentions Depp by name in the piece, his lawyers argue that references to Depp, combined with Heard's previous abuse allegations following their 2017 divorce, are clear and have caused immense damage to Depp's career and reputation.

Specifically, the 25-year-old soul sister is pulling studio all-nighters recording tracks for this summer’s Fled soundtrack and preparing for the first leg of her Stateside tour with funk-noise band Fishbone. You might call her crazy, and it wouldn’t be the first time she’s heard it. In fact, while growing up all gangly in Nashville, Joi (sounds like the emotion) Gilliam was dubbed worse.

Enough to recite entire scenes and to recall the tiniest detail. (I used to practice writing the word “No” like Molly Ringwald did on that questionnaire in Sixteen Candles — with three exclamation points, underlined three times. Anything you’d like to cop to?

For Pretty in Pink, that means a second look at Duckie (played by Jon Cryer), whom Ringwald outed: “Duckie doesn’t know he’s gay,” she told the magazine.
