The Lonely Island’s upcoming film now has an official title.
Andy Samberg dropped by Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday to reveal the name of the Judd Apatow-produced comedy: Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping.
Samberg will play Connor4Real, a singer/rapper who faces a crisis of popularity after his sophomore album flops.
The actor also debuted the film’s poster, which shows his character striking what Kimmel called a “very Bieber-y” pose.
Written and headlined by the members of The Lonely Island — Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone — Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping also costars Sarah Silverman and Tim Meadows and will feature cameos from other music and comedy stars, Universal Pictures said Tuesday.
The film, co-directed by Lonely Island members Schaffer and Taccone and produced by all three members of the group, will arrive in theaters June 3.
